A U.S.-based company that is embarking on a journey to build the future of safe AI technology is looking for a Data Scientist Manager. The candidate will be responsible for writing effective, high-quality Python code to solve problems. The company is committed to developing trustworthy systems and conducting research on the benefits and dangers of artificial intelligence. So far, the company has managed to secure $2.7bn+ in funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • While designing and implementing workflows for the data science team, solve difficult problems
  • Demonstrate effective communication of complicated issues, strong leadership, and active participation in data analysis
  • Organize and direct a group of data scientists, overseeing their progress
  • Workflows for the data science team should be created and put into place in conjunction with researchers
  • Explain the reasoning behind the code in Jupyter Notebooks in detail
  • Fix bugs in the code and create thorough documentation
  • Conduct peer code reviews and offer constructive criticism
  • Using free datasets (such as those from Kaggle, the UN, the US government, etc.), develop and respond to important business issues
  • Effectively communicate with the researchers to comprehend the needs and provide the results
  • Successfully convey complicated topics to stakeholders and team members

Job Requirement

Job Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist Manager
  • 5+ years of data science and Python programming expertise
  • 2+ years of expertise in leading a group of at least 5 individuals
  • Excellent communication abilities to work with stakeholders and researchers successfully
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong data analytic abilities and business acumen will be required to draw the appropriate conclusions from the dataset, respond to those conclusions, and clearly convey the key findings
  • Extensive working knowledge of SQL
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills

 

Location: Open (except OFAC and Ethiopia)

Engagement length: 3-6 Months

Overlap hours: 5 hours/day

Vetting is:

  • MCQ Python and Data Analysis (80% percentile or more for both MCQs)
  • ACC Python (manual IT review 6+)
  • ICF last question is the puzzle (this will be shared with Ivana   -ivana.kruhoberec@turing.com)
  • Candidates with good puzzle scores, go to manual technical review from the team and if they pass, they will be hired.
  • No client round
  • Resume must have job title about team management/leadership position
