Job Description
A U.S.-based company that is building a digital insurance platform that provides world-class insurance solutions to better protect people, is looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for writing outstanding code and providing the groundwork for the tech stack. The company's goal is to offer comprehensive insurance protection for life, work, and everything in between. The company has managed to securely raise $27mn+ during their Series A round of funding.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee a group of engineers and make important choices regarding the platform and technology
- Be enthusiastic about applying their technical know-how to improve people's lives
- Work together with designers, product managers, and other engineers to comprehend needs and provide superior solutions
- Take the lead in technical design conversations, offering insightful commentary and influencing architectural choices
- Create, implement, and manage dependable, scalable, and effective code while following coding standards and best practices
- Make constant improvements and optimizations to current systems to guarantee their performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Participate actively in hiring procedures, support the development of the engineering team, and cultivate a welcoming and upbeat work environment
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer
- Extensive experience working with React and Tailwind
- In-depth knowledge of modern software development techniques and tools, as well as a track record of developing products that are successful
- Thorough understanding of design patterns, best practices, and software architecture
- Some understanding of Docker and AWS is nice to have
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including the ability to assess difficult technical problems and suggest feasible solutions
- Strong technical and non-technical communication abilities, as well as an ability to work well in cross-functional teams
- Fluent in spoken and written English
