Job Description

The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) plays a crucial role towards Income’s vision of insurance made different by leading innovative digital initiatives and building new business models to serve digital-first consumers and position Income for the future. Some examples include the first rainsurance in Singapore which protects individuals against fare surge on ride-hailing platforms and the first micro-insurance in Southeast Asia which offers flexible pay-per-trip micro premium and accumulative coverage for Grab drivers.

This role provides a unique opportunity for a high performing individual to drive real change and transform the insurance industry. The Product Launcher will drive and operationalise the strategy to scale new businesses for Income in the region, by managing different stakeholders to own and deliver key objectives assigned to the team. The candidate is expected to have the mindset to build, and build quickly. The Product Launcher will drive a lean and agile development process and culture within the team while ensuring the seamless delivery of the product vision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the regional product team and cross-functional teams to refine and execute the product strategy for the region
  • Identify new opportunities based on changing customer behaviours and act as the voice of customer in the definition of innovative digital and data solutions
  • Spot high value opportunities for business growth; partner business to strengthen the value proposition and deepen partnerships with data-driven products
  • Strong data sensitivity and able to monitor the product performance data, analyse it and keep consistent optimisation on the products to get friendly and better user experience
  • Quick learner to pick up the domain knowledge and grow fast in product skills
  • Responsible for product planning, design, development plan and setting product vision, to build embedded and innovative products that add real business value and impact to serve a wide range of external customers
  • Influence, update and present to senior stakeholder on a regular basis
  • Shape the evolving product roadmap and vision with the leadership team
  • Set the pace and priority for the product team to drive measurable value
  • Champion a hypothesis-driven test-and-learn mindset to grow hero products and make tough decisions to re-design or sunset non-performing products

Job Requirement

  • More than 2 years of experience in product management and launching digital insurance products
  • Curious mind and ability to adapt to changes in a fast-moving environment; strong willingness to go the extra mile and step out of your comfort zone in understanding diverse regional culture and customer behaviours
  • Good business and data acumen. Able to translate complicated business requirements into product features
  • Know agile-scrum project management experience, ability to prioritise, manage expectations and effectively manage a product and sprint backlog
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, or experience with management of product integrations and product launches with large partners
  • Ability to influence through persuasive verbal and written communication
