The Opportunity:

The candidate will lead the Engineering team to develop and ensure timely and successful implementation of Omni-channel program. This leadership role provides a unique opportunity for a high performing individual to drive real change and transform the insurance industry. The candidate will work closely with a talented and diverse group of engineers and product managers from Income, Income’s trusted partner and industry experts to begin with. This candidate will ultimately be given the opportunity to recruit, manage and retain a new, high-functioning team of his/her own to grow and scale the program.


Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

  • Serve as the thought leader and subject matter expert in Omnichannel Strategy 
    • Serve as a thought leader on the various channels and vendors.
    • Provide ongoing thought leadership across IT teams and be an advocate for the omnichannel strategy.
  • Set the technical vision and build the technical product roadmap from the ground up the for the Omnichannel strategy and analytics capability; including defining long-term goals and strategies.
  • Drive innovation by keeping abreast of emerging digital trends and technologies and encouraging the organization to continuously improve and be a leader in omnichannel strategy and operations.
  • Partner with various IT teams to enhance the current ecosystem through a seamless integration of the technology required to orchestrate execution of the omnichannel strategy across all channels.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Business and Operations stakeholders to ensure optimal execution of the user and product requirements.
  • Lead ecosystem partnerships and relationships as senior technical expert to drive growth
  • Communicate updates on technology roadmap to key stakeholders (e.g. sponsors, Board)
  • Building up SaaS capabilities (people, tech, platform) and experience/opportunity in driving regional expansion (team, support, tech stack, etc)

Job Requirement

Work Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience building large-scale digital products driving or driving IT system implementations in a high growth environment
  • 5+ years in developing solution architecture and leading engineering teams at organizations for digital product development and complex (enterprise) system integration projects
  • Broad base of technology knowledge including:
    • Direct experience in developing, deploying and managing enterprise-class solutions
    • Excellent knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms and the hybrid cloud
    • Highly proficient in open source technologies and frameworks like Node.js, React and React Native.
    • Experience in mobile development a plus
    • Experience in working with legacy systems work and integrating with them
  • A consistent record of rolling out digital products following Agile methodologies
  • Experience in the development and design of portals and point of sales systems
  • Experience with driving Engineering implementation across IT work stream/vendors such as infrastructure, security, etc.
  • Experience with technologies to support the execution of campaigns and sales journeys
  • Experience managing technology vendors
  • Ability to attract and retain a team of world-class engineers to support scale up of the program
  • Experience in Fintech or Insurance industry a plus

 

Additional Preferred Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity and strategic relationship building skills
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
