Job Description
Our Client is an AI-based startup in Japan that is currently focusing on building an organization and business in anticipation of their recent listing and expansion into Asia and North America, to expand their business, they need to build an engineering organization that can withstand scale.
Therefore, our client seeking a CTO candidate who will take full responsibility for the engineering organization, build the engineering organization, and maximize its performance. As a CTO, you will lead development based on business goals to realize the mission and vision, as well as control the management of the entire engineering organization.
To aim for the permanent development of the company as a whole and its business, you will lead the technical team such as the engineering organization and development team and will be primarily responsible for promoting our product development, contract research and development, and organizing the engineering organization.
Job Requirement
Requirements:
- Experience and achievements as a manager in the web application or AI field
- Experience leading a team of 5 or more people as CTO/tech lead/PM etc.
- Project and team management experience in agile development
- Computer science, information engineering, or similar degree with a master's degree or higher Master's/PhD degree in the field of natural language processing/language models/speech recognition/speech processing, or experience in writing papers/books.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or similar degree Experience presenting peer-reviewed papers or international conferences as first author
- Patent application experience
- Entrepreneurship experience
- English proficiency of TOEIC900 (TOEFL100, IELTS 7.0 level)
- Native Japanese Speaker
