The Senior Systems/Hybrid Cloud Engineer focuses on delivering secure, stable, efficient, reliable and scalable infrastructures. He/She supports the design, testing and implementation of routine installations, configuration and fine-tuning of hardware and software. He may lead important projects that require providing team members with instruction, guidance and advice. He resolves simple to complex issues and conducts fault analysis. He applies a critical and analytical approach to resolving technical problems. He works well with his team and is able to guide them to ensure infrastructure projects are well implemented.
He/She possesses a natural knack for investigating infrastructure related issues while taking a methodical approach towards performance monitoring. He/She maintains high standards of customer service and works well with his team. He/She must be passionate about helping customers in resolving their pain points and is natural of going above and beyond.
In this role, you are expected to cover majority the following: • Responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of systems administration to meet the business needs and service level. • Manage systems changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. • Provide 1st and 2nd level operational systems support. • Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. • Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. • Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties. • Ensure service level meet requirement. Propose and implement action plan when required. • Monitor systems according to standard operations procedures. • Involve in the implementation of service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business. • Deliver Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), Public and Private Cloud infrastructures.
To succeed with this role, you must have the required qualifications in the following: • At least 2 years of experience in Windows Server or Linux Server administration, hardening and fine-tuning • Good knowledge and experience on implementing/managing backup and recovery solutions • Experience on CyberArk operations support • Basic Networking knowledge • Experience in building and administering Microsoft AD, DNS, DHCP, ADCS, WSUS and Hyper-V • Experience in building and administering Nutanix or VMware clusters • Experience supporting Singapore government agencies with security clearance • Azure Administrator certification • AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification
