Technology Architect
Job Description
Technology Architect is one of the Enterprise Architecture members in Information Technology at NTUC Income. The person is responsible for API and Microservice design across the enterprise and external partners to support digital transformation initiatives. Additionally, this role will help drive the company's enterprise API and Microservices strategy, including the definition of technical standards and best practices for design, development, testing, deployment, and operation.
The individual in this position has a track record of in-depth and hands-on experience designing and implementing Open API, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Application.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Formulating Open APIs, Microservices & Cloud architecture blueprints, solution diagrams, technology stack & integration mapping at an organization-level
- Defining target solution, design patterns, guidelines/best practices to align with strategic initiatives with sound implementation design & plan to close the gaps
- Collaborate to design DevOps pipeline to enable self-service, self-healing, scalable, fault-tolerant, resilient, and secure architecture in Cloud as well as On-premise environment
- Be a trusted architect adviser to the management team and guide the IT teams in solution design and implementation. Actively seeking a knowledge of technology trends and providing thought leadership to the business and IT
- Perform regular review of API and Microservices architecture strategy, leading work streams to modernize and updating the overall architecture blueprints, including the associated internal and third-party security and risk management practices
- Perform a lead role for API & Microservices design authority, collaborating with implementation teams to foster reusability, standardized, resilient, and cost-effective design
- Be part of architecture and technology governance committee agenda to ensure application, platform, data, security, and technology requirements aligned to enterprise standards and policies
Job Requirement
- 10-15 years of progressive experience and deep hands-on knowledge in designing and implementing Open API, Microservices, and/or Cloud-Native Application
- Experience in SpringBoot, NodeJS, Swagger, API Management platforms, VM & Containers platform, AWS/GCP/Azure Cloud platforms, Configuration Management, DevOps & Monitoring, Disaster Recovery
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related study
- Excellent in working effectively in a multi-tasking environment, ability to prioritize competing tasks
- Fluency and efficiency in creating technical architecture documentation, presentations, and stakeholder pitches
- Clear communicator with excellent oral and written skills and experience interacting with both business and IT at all levels, including the executive level
- Possess the personal attributes: integrity, trust, and credibility, hungry for results, and show perseverance. A good listener, customer-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking skills with deep technological expertise, business acumen, and software development background
- Able to guide and influence others easily and well organized with clear attention to detail
- Experience in Insurance Industry preferred but not required
