The Engineering Manager, Security Operations will lead FSMK’s security operation activities, including security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and problem management to name a few. S/He is required to review security incidents and vulnerabilities, provide recommendations, and support with remediation activities. S/He will also be trusted to provide technical support to ensure that security operations are running effectively and efficiently throughout all business units.

We are looking for an engineering manager for the core engineering team. As an engineering manager, you'll be a hands-on leader, owning system architecture decisions and driving forward the efforts for the scalability and reliability of our platform. You'll mentor and coach the engineers, grow great talent, and shape the team culture to build a very productive team. As a leader in Funding Societies, you'll work cross-functionally to evolve systems to enable speedy and productive delivery for product engineering.
What you’ll do
- Build and manage a team of 5-6 engineers, provide career planning, coaching, help them advance in their careers
- Manage the engineering processes and policies, and evolve them as the product and team scales
- Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of autonomy, productivity, and simplicity
- Direct the implementation and observability of highly-available, scalable, secure, and resilient systems
- Design, maintain, refactor, and evolve core platform services and libraries
- Hands-on work based on the needs of the team with a focus on management
What you need have
- You have 7+ years of professional experience in software development
- You have 2+ years of engineering management experience on a remote team
- You have proficiency in Golang or Nodejs.
- You have expertise in cloud services AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- You have a penchant for building highly available, scalable, secure, and resilient systems
- You are a strong communicator in person and persuasive in writing
You may also have but not required
- A background in the FinTech domain
- Familiar with AWS services
- Hands-on in microservices architected and highly distributed systems.
